Biography

Dr. Pokhrel completed his MBBS from Tribhuvan University and then did his MD in Ophthalmology from Tilganga Institute of Ophthalmology under the full scholarship of Ministry of Health and Population, Nepal. He then served for 2 years under the ministry before joining ASG eye hospital in Kathmandu. He is currently doing fellowship in refractive surgery at Tilganga. Dr. Pokhrel is active in research and publications with many articles published in national and international journals, and has presented in many national and international conferences. He is a part of international RAAB survey. He is also active in many professional societies. He is the founding president of Young Ophthalmologist Society, immediate past joint-secretary of Nepal Ophthalmic Society, member of research wing of ISMSICS-Nepal Chapter (international society for manual small incision cataract surgery).
